Abstract
The use of antimicrobial systems in plastics products is discussed, with particular reference to the products from Wells Plastics. It is emphasised that it is important to choose the correct system to suit the product and its intended application, and that the efficacy of the antimicrobial system must be verified through appropriate antimicrobial testing. Antimicrobial test methods such as the halo and viable count methods are described. 12 refs.
