Abstract
Nanocomposites based on thermoplastic PU and up to 40 phr of unmodified, multiwalled carbon nanotubes were prepared by a simple melt blending process. The morphological, structural and mechanical properties of the nanocomposites were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, TEM, DSC, X-ray diffraction, DMTA and tensile testing. The thermal and electrical conductivities of the nanocomposites were also investigated and the influence of the nanotubes on nanocomposite properties evaluated. 45 refs.
