Abstract
The kinetics of thermal degradation of polymethylphenylsiloxane were investigated under non-isothermal conditions by dynamic thermogravimetry and corresponding kinetic parameters of the degradation stages (unzipped and rearranged) determined using the Kissinger and Friedman methods. The Arrhenius pre-exponential factor and reaction order for the two degradation stages were also determined and a kinetic model developed using the values of the kinetic parameters. 14 refs.
