Abstract
Changes in the concentration of oxygen-containing groups, such as C-O and C=O, introduced by UV irradiation onto HDPE and the hydrophilicity of the irradiated HDPE before and after storage for up to 11,040 h. were investigated. The irradiated HDPE was used as a compatibiliser in HDPE/sericite-tridymite-cristobalite and the mechanical properties of the compatibilised blend investigated before and after storage. 11 refs.
