Abstract
Polyaniline/As”2O”3 nanocomposites were synthesised by in-situ polymerisation in the presence of two initiators (potassium chromate and ammonium peroxodisulphate). Kinetics of polyaniline formation was followed by FTIR spectroscopy and the ratio of imino and amino units estimated and correlated with polyaniline structure. Polymerisation rates were determined by a gravimetric method and the heat stability, structure and electrical conductivity of the nanocomposites investigated by TGA, high resolution TEM and conductivity measurements, respectively. 36 refs.
