Abstract
Polypyrrole was deposited onto carbon fibres via the oxidation polymerisation of pyrrole with ferric ions. These Ppy-deposited carbon fibres were then made into composite boards with epoxy resin. The interfacial bonding between carbon fibre and epoxy resin was evaluated by measuring the interlaminar shear strength, tensile strength before and after impact, and flexural strength. 10 refs.
