Abstract
The yielding and fracture toughness of a glass microballoon filled epoxy resin were investigated as a function of filler content, temperature and strain rate. The variations in the measured mechanical properties are discussed in terms of the observed morphology and thermal behaviour of the epoxy composites. 25 refs.
