Abstract
The permeabilities are measured in the saturated flow of three kinds of single layered preforms and also of three kinds of multi-layered preforms used in the resin transfer moulding process. A new method of measuring permeability is reported which considers the transverse flow between the two different layers. The proposed method is compared with the weighted average permeability method. The advancement of flow front in multi-layered preforms is investigated theoretically and visualised by a digital camcorder. 26 refs.
