Abstract
Dynamically cured PP/maleic anhydride-grafted ethylene-octene copolymer/epoxy blends were prepared by dynamic curing of the epoxy resin in the PP/maleic anhydride-grafted ethylene-octene copolymer. The morphology, mechanical properties, rheological properties and heat stability of the blends were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, tensile, impact and flexural testing, capillary rheometry and thermogravimetry. The effects of maleic anhydride-grafted ethylene-octene copolymer and epoxy resin contents on the mechanical properties of the blends were examined and the roles of the cured epoxy resin as filler and maleic anhydride-grafted ethylene-octene copolymer as compatibiliser considered. 21 refs.
