Abstract
The effects of compatibiliser and wood flour on the non-isothermal crystallisation behaviour and crystalline morphology of composites of polypropylene and wood flour with or without the addition of m-isopropenyl-alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl isocyanate-grafted polypropylene as compatibiliser were investigated by DSC and polarised optical microscopy, and the results are discussed in terms of nucleation. Avrami analysis of the non-isothermal crystallisation kinetics was performed and the activation energy was calculated by the Kissinger method. 33 refs.
