Abstract
A study is described of the effects of thermal post-treatment on electron beam-cured epoxy resins. Dynamic mechanical analyses were performed on samples which differed in EB radiation dose, initiator dose, molecular weight, and molecular weight distribution. The influence of these variables on heat treatment is examined, and studies of the effects of heat treatment on EB-cured bisphenol A epoxy resins provide an understanding of the how technology parameters affect the formation of the crosslinked structure. 16 refs.
