Abstract
Sisal-PP composite sheets were manufactured using a 3-factor two-level experimental design based on the Taguchi method to maximise the mechanical properties of the composites. The composite sheets were mechanically recycled by pelletising the sheets and feeding through an extruder and the effects of recycling on the crystallinity, fibre length, mechanical properties (tensile modulus, tensile strength, and impact strength) and stress relaxation of the recycled sheets investigated and compared with those of the unrecycled composite sheets. 21 refs.
