Instructions for Authors

Submission of papers is welcomed for consideration. Papers should not have been published elsewhere, or submitted simultaneously to other journals. Previous oral presentations should be noted by the author.

The following types of contributions will be considered:

  • Papers describing original research,
  • Literature reviews of 3,000 to 10,000 words,
  • Short communications making one novel point with a minimum of detail, ideally not exceeding three pages.

Peer Review

All contributions are peer reviewed and may require revisions before final acceptance.

Manuscripts

Papers should not normally exceed 10,000 words, with allowance made for tables and illustrations.

SI units must be used throughout.

References should be listed at the end of the text, numbered in order of citation, and denoted by superscript numbers in the text. For periodicals they should include author name, journal, volume, year, and page number. For books they should include author, title, city and country of origin, and year. For conference papers they should include author, conference name, paper number, location, year, and proceedings publisher.

Illustrations

Please supply figures in clear publication-ready form. Computer-generated graphics can be accepted in formats such as TIFF, AutoCAD, and EPS. No amendments can be made to the supplied artwork.

Photographs

A scale, where appropriate, should be marked or indicated in the figure caption.

Copyright

Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete the publication agreement required for the journal. Traditional author rights remain respected.

Before You Submit

  • Confirm all authors and affiliations are listed correctly.
  • Check references, figure labels, and captions carefully.
  • Make sure the manuscript file is final and free from tracked changes or live hyperlinks.
