Abstract
The dynamic mechanical properties of unplasticised PVC and composites thereof with banana pseudostem fibres were investigated as a function of filler loading and temperature (from 30 to 140 degrees C). Composites containing banana pseudostem fibres and acrylic FM50 (PMMA) were also studied. The results are discussed in terms of storage modulus, tan delta, Tg, damping behaviour, segmental mobility and interfacial interaction. 12 refs.
