Abstract
Differential scanning calorimetry is used for the characterisation of LDPE/LLDPE blends used in the production of packaging pouches. The use of DSC is described to explain the inadequate machinability of film pouches, and to demonstrate how improvements can be obtained by an increase in the LLDPE component. 10 refs.
