**Abstract**
The thermal properties of composites of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) reinforced with various proportions of short nylon-6 fibres and cured with dicumyl peroxide or sulphur systems were investigated by TG and DSC, and the resulting degradation temperatures, temperature-dependent weight loss, and glass transition temperatures were compared with those for NBR itself. The effects of the addition of hexamethylene tetramine/resorcinol or phthalic anhydride as bonding agents on thermal stability of the composites were investigated, and the results are discussed. 23 refs.
