**Abstract**
The fabrication of glass fibre-reinforced composite laminates of ternary reactive blends of novolac epoxy, 2,2'-diallyl-bisphenol A and various proportions of bisphenol A bismaleimide (BMI), and their characterisation after curing by FTIR, DSC, rheological properties, TMA, DMA, flexural, compressive and interlaminar shear strength, fracture toughness, fatigue testing, stress relaxation and fracture surface analysis (SEM), is described. The effects of BMI concentration and of the addition of poly(ethersulphone) as toughening agent on mechanical and high temperature properties of the laminates were investigated and the results are discussed. 26 refs.
