**Abstract**
 Wood flour and wheat husk have been treated using sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and benzoyl chloride and used with maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene (MAgPP) and titanate coupling agent emulsion as reinforcement for polypropylene based hybrid composites with 10 to 50% reinforcements with equal amounts of wood flour and wheat husk. Density, melt flow index, heat deflection temperature, melting temperature and thermal degradation of the composites have been investigated along with reinforcement/matrix interactions. Density and heat deflection temperature of the composites increase with increasing contents of reinforcements, but melt flow index decreases. Melting and crystallisation temperatures are almost the same as those of the matrix. 18 Refs.
