**Abstract**
 Investigations into the effects of POSS molecular geometry, composition and concentration on the physical and mechanical properties of POSS-modified thermoplastic and thermosetting nanocomposites are reviewed. Nanocomposites based on PE, PP, PVC, PS, PMMA, polycarbonate, PETP, poly-epsilon-caprolactone, polyamide-6, epoxy resins, polyimides, phenolic resins, PU and other polymers are covered. 117 refs.
