**Abstract**
The effects of melamine polyphosphate flame retardant and glass fibres on the non-isothermal crystallisation behaviour of polyamide-6,6 were investigated by DSC and Avrami analysis. The activation energy for the transport of macromolecular segments to the growing surface was calculated using the Kissinger method and nucleation activity of glass fibres and flame retardant in the composites determined using Dobreva's method. The flame retardant increased crystallisation rate and decreased the supercooling required for crystallising nucleation and glass fibres increased the crystallisation rate and amount of supercooling. 19 refs.
