**Abstract**
Ceramics/polymer nanocomposites have a lower cost, excellent dielectric properties, good material strength and improved electrical and piezoelectric properties. Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) shows a rather low dielectric constant between 3 to 8 depending on its molecular weight and testing frequency. Barium titanate, (BaTiO3) has a very high dielectric constant of the order of ten thousand, because of which it has been extensively used for fabrication of multilayer capacitors. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the PMMA/ BaTiO3 nanocomposites films have been measured as a function of frequency and temperature. The piezoelectric responses have been evaluated with varying ceramic volume percentage. Morphological behaviour of nanocomposites have been performed with the aid of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). 18 Refs.
