**Abstract**
 The bond behaviour of two different types of carbon fibre-reinforced vinyl ester resin reinforcing bars in high-strength steel fibre-reinforced concrete was investigated by compressive strength, tensile strength and pull-out tests. The effects of the addition of different proportions of steel fibre on mechanical properties and bond strength were studied and the results are discussed in terms of reduction in microcracks at the interface between concrete matrix and reinforcing bar. 23 refs.
