**Abstract**
The properties of ternary blends of novolac epoxy resin, diallyl bisphenol A, and three different types of bismaleimides (BMIs), namely 2,2-bis-4-(4-maleimidophenoxy)phenylpropane, bis(4-maleimidophenyl)methane and bis(4-maleimidophenyl)ether, were investigated after curing by FTIR, TGA, DSC and adhesive properties. The effects of BMI type on the properties of laminates of the ternary blends with glass fabric were investigated by flexural strength, compressive strength, interlaminar shear strength and interfacial shear strength measurements, thermal and physical properties, such as linear expansion, density, resin content, void content and water absorption, and the results are discussed. 10 refs.
